Directed by Tommy Chong and starring Tommy Chong. Cheech Marin makes a brief cameo. Rae Dawn Chong is worried about her dad, a.k.a. Far Out Man, an eternal hippie musician for whom time has stopped at the breakup of his marriage during the Woodstock era. She contacts a psychiatrist and this middle-aged hippie sets off on a cross-country quest to find his ex-wife and the child they had together. The film also stars C. Thomas Howell and Marin Mull.
