** Re-mastered, Re-released...Sleeping Beauty and Let's Make A New Dope Deal **

This is what you've all been waiting for. Cheech and Chong Fans Dot Com signed an agreement with Warner Music Group to re-release two long lost Cheech and Chong albums, Sleeping Beauty and Let's Make A New Dope Deal.

Let's Make A New Dope Deal has been out-of-print since the mid-80s and has never been released on Compact Disc til now. Sleeping Beauty made a brief appearance on CD in the early 90s.

We've remastered both CDs and they're only available on this site.

Found: The Original MUF DVR License Plates

The original owner of the MUF DVR license plates recently contacted us. The plates used in Up In Smoke were actually replicas.

Here's his story...
The plates started out on an American Motors Gremlin, then in 1973 they went on a T-top Corvette, and finally they were on a customized VW Bug before being retired in 1986. I have both the front and rear plates intact, the rear plate has the CA DMV stickers on it up to 1986. Again, these are the real deal; they are slightly worn from all the years on being on the road and turning heads in So Cal, but they're still a show-stopper when I pull one out of my golf bag to win a bet. I have always wondered who it was that saw my plates and decided to use a copy for Cheech's car in Up and Smoke; was it him or someone in the movies production company?

  • Awesome!

I was recently watching "Up In Smoke" with the commentary track selected (Commentary with Cheech and Lou Adler). When a shot depicting the famous plates appeared on-screen, Lou made a comment about how those were Cheech's "real plates."

He was just making a joking remark, kudos to the guy who actually had the plates registered in the first place. I also wonder who from the cast/crew/company saw your plates, man... maybe we will get an update!

  • The real collectable concept here is That the Calif Dept of Motor Vehicles hires elderly women to check plates now so you cant register them with out their ok they are like 80 years old. This make this plate worth alot more now than back then.
